Moonwatch Means Omega Speedmaster

In the watch industry, when it comes to diving watches, flight watches, racing watches and other watches, I believe that everyone will not be too strange. These watches were originally serviced for certain professional fields, and they all have their own special " Housekeeping skills." But when it comes to the "moon watch", that is, the watch that can be used on the moon, only the Omega series. Here, the “moon watch” we talked about is not created by the Omega brand for marketing. There are many real stories behind it.

As early as 1962, American astronaut Wally Schirra personally purchased the Omega second-generation Supermaster Series CK2998 as his first flight watch and executed the US manned space mission Mercury. In the "Mercury" program - Hercules No. 8, Shila wearing the Omega Speedmaster replica series CK2998 boarded the Sigma 7 spacecraft, this watch is also the first Omega watch to enter space.

Following the launch of Omega's "CK2998" blue and white limited edition watch in 2016, Omega has launched this series of black and white limited editions in 2018, still limited to 2,998 pieces. Classic black ceramic bezel with white 珐琅 pulse reading scale for easy calculation of heart rate per minute, 39.7 mm watch with stainless steel case , classic three black small dial neatly arranged on the silver dial From a distance, there is quite a feeling of "panda". Both the hour and minute hands are treated with a blackening technique and the chronograph second hand has a red lacquer . The black leather strap of the racer style is full of a sporty atmosphere.

The back of the watch is engraved with a limited edition number and the signature hippocampus badge pattern, thanks to the tradition of the original "CK 2998" watch. The interior of the watch is equipped with a deep history of the Omega 1861 movement. This chrome-plated movement has a power reserve of 48 hours and is equipped with a traditional manual winding. Today, the hand-wound movement of the Speedmaster is almost identical to the watch movement worn by NASA astronauts when they land on the moon.
