This year, Omega has applied the new Moonshine ™ 18K gold material to demonstrate the pioneering spirit of the brand. The brand is applying for a patent for this new alloy, which is slightly lighter in color than traditional yellow gold, but has a longer lasting color. In this new timepiece, Moonshine ™ 18K gold runs through the overall design of the watch.

The new limited edition Omega Speedmaster replica watches features a Moonshine ™ 18-karat gold dial at 9 o'clock, and laser-engraved images of Buzz Aldrin's landing on the moon. Unlike other time scales, the number "11" at 11 o'clock is made of Moonshine ™ 18K gold and pays tribute to the "Apollo 11" mission.

Omega's new Calibre 3861 Co-Axial Co-Axial movement brings the famous Moonwatch movement to a new level. Omega is determined to produce a movement that perfectly matches the size of the Calibre 1861 but meets the highest standards of performance. This latest version went through trial and error until it was successfully developed and took 4 years. Only 6,969 limited edition watches are issued. The caseback is engraved with black exclusive numbers, "APOLLO 11", "50th ANNIVERSARY" and "LIMITED EDITION". In addition, the stainless steel case back is engraved with "NAIAD LOCK", "Cal.3861" and "CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER".
