Review Omega Speedmaster Super Racing Watch

The Spirate system developed by Omega contains a subversive new hairspring (patent pending), which allows ultra-fine adjustment of the travel time of the watch. With this ingenious mechanical device, Omega has been certified with an accuracy of only 0 to +2 seconds per day. In order to achieve this ultra-high precision, Omega has re-developed the balance spring with the help of the technical resources of the Swatch Group, combined with the excellent precision, stability and reliability of the brand's own movement. The newly designed Si14 silicon hairspring allows watchmakers to adjust the stiffness of the end of the hairspring through an eccentric adjustment mechanism located on the balance cock. This innovative move is based on a high-precision articulated structure with flexible bearings, and is an outstanding example of Omega's courage to face difficult challenges and innovate.

The Omega Speedmaster Super Racing watch in stainless steel is the first timepiece to be equipped with Omega's Spirate ultra-fine travel time adjustment system. The exterior design of this watch pays tribute to Omega’s anti-magnetic masterpiece launched in 2013-the Seamaster Aqua Terra >15’000 Gauss watch. Through the sapphire glass back of the watch, the new movement structure is clearly visible.

The Omega Speedmaster clone watches dial is surrounded by a unique racing-style minute ring, and the iconic tachymeter scale on the black ceramic bezel is made of new yellow "Grand Feu" enamel. This bold and eye-catching yellow is also used on the gradient chronograph second hand, chronograph hands and the striped small second hand at 9 o’clock, aiming to echo the Seamaster Aqua Terra >15’000 Gauss watch born in 2013. The 60-minute and 12-hour counters are set at 3 o'clock and can also be used to indicate the second time zone. The dial presents a 'honeycomb' structure, inspired by a concept watch exhibited by the Omega Museum that can resist the extreme magnetic field of 160,000 Gauss.

This watch is equipped with Omega's most advanced 9920 coaxial master chronometer movement, which perfectly integrates the brand's innovative Spirate system, contains many watchmaking achievements in the brand's development process, and is approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (metaS) Approved by rigorous testing, its accuracy, anti-magnetic and overall performance have reached the industry's higher standards.

The Omega Speedmaster Super Racing watch comes with a metaS red certification card confirming the watch's daily accuracy from 0 to +2 seconds. Through the industrial production of the Spirate system, Omega also hopes to improve the daily accuracy of watches to 0 to +2 seconds on a large scale.
